Quebec Self-Employed Workers Program

The Quebec Self-Employed Workers Program is an immigration pathway for individuals with experience in creating their own jobs. Selected candidates can immigrate to Quebec and establish their own professional activity as self-employed workers. Like other immigration programs in Quebec, this program allows candidates to obtain a Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ). After obtaining the CSQ, they can submit an official application for permanent residence in Canada.

To be eligible for the Quebec Self-Employed Workers Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Come to Quebec to create their own job by practicing a profession or trade independently.
• Have a net worth of at least CAD 100,000, acquired legally, possibly with the support of a spouse or common-law partner.
• Have at least two years of experience as a self-employed worker in the profession or trade intended in Quebec.
• Achieve the minimum number of points required according to the evaluation grid for self-employed workers in Quebec.

Applications will also be assessed based on other factors such as age, language skills, and educational background.
