New Categories to Meet Labor Market Needs
The Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship, has announced the 2025 Express Entry categories. These categories introduce a new priority for candidates with work experience in Canada, as well as French language skills. The identified priority sectors include:

Health and Social Services: Family doctors, nurse practitioners, dentists, pharmacists, psychologists, chiropractors, etc.

Skilled Trades: Carpenters, plumbers, contractors, etc.

Education: Teachers, early childhood educators, instructors for individuals with disabilities, etc.
Support for Francophone Communities
Canada reaffirms its commitment to Francophone communities outside Quebec. Candidates proficient in French will be prioritized in the Express Entry program to support the economic vitality of these communities.
