The Simplified LMIA Process
The procedure for obtaining a simplified Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is similar to that of a standard LMIA application, with a few differences:

- Targeted Professions: Simplified LMIA applications are limited to professions in high demand and facing labor shortages in the region of Quebec where the employer is located.
- Submission Requirements: Simplified LMIA applications must be approved by both federal and provincial authorities. Therefore, they must be submitted to both ESDC and the Ministry of Immigration, Francisation, and Integration (MIFI).
